Posts: 142 Feb 12 12 7:56 AM	Tags : None There is a new one touch meter out from lifescan called the VerioIQ. It notifies you of trends in your blood sugar patterns at a certain time of day. It uses a different strip than the other one touch meters. I have no idea what the meter or the strips cost, I just saw it in the walgreens advertisement today for $30 off (off of how much we have no idea). http://www.onetouch.ca/verioiq

Since I belong to an HMO I'll have to stick with my meter, since that is the only strips they supply at the moment. I haven't been able to download information from my meter for a long time, though, so I think I will try to download their newest software and try it again.

Posts: 142 Feb 12 12 1:59 PM	It does seem like they could have made a trend notifying meter that uses the same strips, wonder what is different about the new strips. Makes it more complicated for people to switch. I'm perfectly happy with a basic meter. The only special feature I ever really liked was the screen light and test strip light on the freestyle meters.

And it sure looks like a slim little meter. I'm going to look at it next time I go to Walgreens. I'm curious what it costs. Suzanna
