Suz - unfortunately, medicare will only pay for pump supplies for T1 diabetics, not for T2's even if they're insulin-dependent.  The jury is still out as to which type I am, but I guess we'll find out if they make me take the tests next year.  As for its being confusing...not really, Suz.  It's a bit at first, but it only takes a very short while to "get it."

Al, I'm so sorry you've had that problem with the pump.  For some reason, despite having extremely dry skin and psoriasis flare-ups on occasion, I've been really lucky with the pump sites.  I am sensitive to the tape that comes with the insertion sets, but luckily my body doesn't react to tegaderm patches, so I put those on and then insert the set through the tegaderm.  I'm so glad, though, that you're getting such excellent control with MDI.  I know that many people do...just not sure I could always do the math, lol.

Karen...leave it to you to name a new syndrome - ROFL!
