Hi Suz,
On your Ping pump, you need to read chapter 6 in your book, first you have to get your booklet. It will tell you you need to go to chapter 10 for advanced basal settings, needed to turn on multiple basal display. Chapter 10 page 50, will tell you how to turn the feature on. It will allow you four screen basal profiles (that is all mine will do too). The you would pick the second( #2) and program a daily sick day basal profile (you will need to work this out). My Cozmo let me rename each profile, but my Medtronic does not and I am not sure about the Ping. (you will need to remember #2 is for sick days)
You create the profile, just as you did your main basal profile, but with higher numbers. ( I have found my sick profile runs a similar pattern, with higher insulin amounts)
Nighttime is always tricky to get right and experimentation is the only way I know how. It took me over a year with my first pump! Make small increments for nighttime, until you are happy with the adjustment (shoot for 180 only).
You will need to remember to go back to your normal profile, when you get better, or are having any lows. (then use temp basal to dial it in for the next time around.)

Don't do this while you are tired, as that is when we make mistakes! Use caution!
