Wayne, I know exactly how you feel.  After September's trip to the hospital, the doctors decided I was taking too many medications.  (This is after telling me that I needed to be on all my meds or I risked stroke, which I got anyway in early September.)  Now I have three different doctors telling me what dosages of medication I need to be on, what medications need to be eliminated and what new medications I need.  It's like playing Russian Roulette with prescriptions instead of bullets.

I know you don't want to take the meds, but as you said the alternatives are less palatable.  We - and I mean all of us - must trust our doctors to know what's best for us, even when they contradict each other.  We on the board need you around, so grit your teeth and take the meds - well, don't grit your teeth or the meds won't go in.

Good luck.  I know you've been through more than your fair share, but good things can happen out of all this.  Like living out past the warranty on that new pacemaker.
