Hi Terri,
I take Ultram, the original formulation of tramadol, as the generics make me feel bad. The Ultam works well as one of my pain meds, but if I take 200 mg of it, I get sick. I use soma to help me sleep. It is not a sleep aid, but a muscle relaxant. They say that this can be addictive, but in my case, sleep comes hard and whatever works is what they prescribe me.
I have taken several sleep aids and none has worked, but they did make me anxsious and moody, so I do not use them.
Rozerim (sp) was the last tried, but that did not work either.
I usually take 100mg Ultram a day, with 650 mg Soma and 1600 mg of ibuprofen a day, for pain and sleep. I know this is not good, but pain is worse than the long term effects. I also take narcotics for the bad days and headaches. I think if they would take my bad adrenal gland, all of this could end for me, but sadly no doctors will do anything, but prescribe pills for me these days!
