Benadryl does work well for sure, but I feel pretty sleepy the next day. The worst thing about it for me is that my eyes are very, very dry from Sjogren's Syndrome, so Benadryl makes it so much worse. The low dose of Tramadol keeps my pain at bay and has somewhat of a relaxing affect. I can't take too much though or I get way too tired. I could not take the 100 mg (24 hr.) slow release Tramadol. It made me feel sick and caused additional cognitive issues. The mix I use right now seems pretty effective.

I just hope anyone who uses some of these sleep aids is aware of the possible side affects they can have. You end up taking another drug to counteract the side affect of what is supposed to be helping you! Sheesh!
