LeeAnn:

Four years ago this past month my wife was also diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer, and I was devestated. I have a 26 year history with cancer, and knew what she would be going through. The doctors on her cancer team did a lumpectomy, then chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It took almost five months for the surgery and the treatments, but after it was over - in fact, about three weeks after chemo ended and she had begun radiation - she felt much better. Her only complaint was about the steroids that the doctor gave her durring chemo.

If you do take chemotherapy, I would reccomend a drug called either Emmend or Ammend. It is expensive, but the company that makes it offers free drugs to patients that are in need. It virtually eliminated the nausea that my wife felt during chemo, and was most helpful to her.

I know you can beat this. My wife just had her annual mammogram last month and is still cancer-free. It's good that you caught it so early, so that you might beat it back to submission.
